Passed by Santa Cruz County voters in November 2016, Measure D is a half-cent sales tax that funds transportation projects for a 30-year period. Potential transportation projects include:
- road maintenance (e.g., pothole repair, road repaving)
- bike and pedestrian pathways
- safer routes to schools
Since its implementation, Measure D has been used to:
- fund King's Village sidewalks improvement
- repave and add bike lanes for Green Hills Road
- widen, resurface, and add bike lanes to Glenwood Drive
- improve the K Street and Glenwood Trail parking lots
- improve the East Glenwood Trails
