How will I know when my permit is ready to issue?

The Building Permit Tech will call you and let you know:

When the permit has been cleared by all reviewing departments.
What fees will be due at the time of permit issuance.
When the permit may be picked-up.

1. How do I schedule an inspection?

Submit your inspection request to svbuild@scottsvalley.org and include the following information:

Preferred Inspection Date/AM or PM

2. How will I know when my permit is ready to issue?

The Building Permit Tech will call you and let you know:

When the permit has been cleared by all reviewing departments.
What fees will be due at the time of permit issuance.
When the permit may be picked-up.

3. Can I pay for my permit with a credit card?: The Building Department only accepts cash and check for payment.

4. How can I find out about the permit history of a parcel?: Visit the Building Department during counter hours (Monday through Thursday 8 to 11:30 a.m.) and ask to see Building Permit History files for a particular address.

5. When can I submit for a permit?: You can submit an application for a permit between 8 and 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday. The City accepts payment in the form of cash or check.

10. Can I get a permit through the mail?: No. The building permit must be paid for and signed at the counter. The City accepts check or cash for payment.
